Ernströmgruppen has reached an agreement to acquire all shares in Termorens AS, which specializes in minimizing the occurrence of bacteria in drinking water. Termorens is Ernströmgruppen’s second acquisition in Norway this year as well as the second add-on acquisition for Armaturjonsson under the business area Water & Heating.
In drinking water installations, Termorens serves to reduce the risk of bacteria, especially legionella. The company has created its own system, advertised as Legioterm, that successfully satisfies legal standards for fighting legionella without the use of heavy metals or chemicals by using anodic oxidation technology. The company has also developed a biodegradable cleaning fluid that has proven to be very effective in closed heating and cooling systems. Termorens, which was founded in 1994, will continue to operate under its current management in Skien, southwest of Oslo.
